Wilson | Family Session

As a photographer I often feel the pressure of getting the "pinterest perfect" or "instgram perfect" photo that I forget the simple joy of capturing a real moment in real time. This sometimes can get discouraging. But Sara and her family are such a sweet reminder that photos go way beyond creating a perfect persona.  I first met Sara and her family back in 2015 when I took their fall photos. The following November Sara sent me the sweetest email thanking me for her photos that capture their family's personality so well. She also told me that they would be starting the adoption process and it would be my photo the birthmothers would see when they first view their profile. This was one of the most touching things I had read. This is the goal of SMP. To capture real moments that your family can easily look back on and remember the joys (and maybe the stresses!) of your session and to know that was real life... not a persona to make your family look good.

On April 16th Sara told me they had been matched and were on their way to meet their little girl. I was so overwhelmed with the joy to know this family was growing by one more and could not wait to capture it. Thank you Wilson family for welcloming me into your home and allowing me to capture such sweet memories for you all.
