Brian + Kendra | Wedding Day - Driscoll Estate, Taylorsville, KY

Unwavering joy - that is the best way to describe Brian + Kendra's wedding day!

The week leading up to the wedding the forecast kept calling for rain, and while I made the 20 minute drive to their venue, the rain was a steady downpour - showing no signs of letting up. Everyone was checking their phones throughout the morning trying to help make the call on having the ceremony outside. But Kendra did not lose hope! She was set on, and not afraid to, have her ceremony outside no matter what. As the girls finished getting their hair done at Driscoll Estates we noticed a break in the rain. Enough to let us go outside and take a few images of the girls and Brian getting ready.

The rain continued to hold off into the first look, where you could tell Brian was completely overwhelmed with excitement to see his bride for the first time! As we finished up a few photos and before it was time for the ceremony to start, the rain started to come back. I don't think I've seen a bride so fearless of rain. But as soon as she said they will continue to keep everything outside, the rain stopped.

The ceremony went on outdoors, with the most beautiful dark cloud coverage. Kendra's grandfather walked her down the aisle and you could just see the joy that was on his face as a grandfather and on Kendra's face as she approached her groom. The rain continued to hold off as we took family photos outside (which  you'll notice I included some - which I never do, but I don't think I've ever loved a location for the family formals as much as I loved the spot Kendra provided for us!).

On the estate there was a newly built barn where they continued the celebration. And even while some things started to go wrong (as they always do on wedding days), the joy was unwavering. Every detail surrounded the decor and the flowers, Kendra made herself! She put so much love into her wedding day and it truly showed. One of my favorite details she included was the locket she put on her flowers. Kendra's grandmother had passed away just a few months before the wedding, and she meant so much to Kendra. So to honor her, and to have her there on Kendra's wedding day, she included that photo. Such a wonderful piece she will be abler to cherish for years to come!

Brian + Kendra, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your wedding day! It was such a beautiful day and I was so happy to be a part of it!
